An active SECRET security clearance is required
Software development/programming supporting new technologies for the US Navy, from requirements development to validation.


• 2-6 years experience in ASP.Net or Java web development (ASP.Net with C# preferred)
• A strong understanding of Object Oriented Development and design principles
• Preference for candidates with approved DoD 8570 Certifications such as Security+
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards
• Strong background with n-tiered web application design with database back-end
• Knowledgeable of modern web development practices and technology such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience with refactoring legacy software, Team Foundation Server, and Versioning Control systems
• Skillful with one or more integrated development environments such as Visual Studio
• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development
• Strong understanding of software architectural design

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Detail-oriented about coding, documentation, and visual/interface design standards.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical problem-solving and decision-skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective solutions to software design and development challenges.
• Ability to work well under pressure and be able to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously.
• Familiarity with software engineering disciplines from requirements development to validation.
• Other duties assigned.

Education / Experience Required: 

B.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related technical field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience.)
