Summary: 

QSI is seeking capable and energetic Electronics Technicians to support manufacturing efforts in the areas of:

  • Circuit card assembly
  • Circuit card rework
  • Electro-mechanical assembly
  • Circuit card and higher order assembly automated test
  • Development and refinement of manufacturing processes
  • Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS)

Qualified applicants will be able to contribute to multiple facets of the manufacturing operation by being relied upon to conduct assembly, test, debug/troubleshooting, inspection and operation of a variety of test and assembly equipment with proficiency.  

Duties/Requirements/Qualifications: 

 

  • Experienced in Electronic, Mechanical and Electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Able to install components and sub-assemblies in accordance with provided work instructions. 
  • Able to assemble printed circuit boards following specifications and work instructions.
  • Able to use electronic, hand powered, and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to keep accurate records for build information, anomalies, defects and test data.
  • Ability to maintain all manufacturing related equipment and facilities. 
  • Ability to contribute to the workplace organization initiatives.
  • Ability to operate standard laboratory test equipment and automated test systems.
  • Ability to operate environmental test equipment
  • Provide feedback to manufacturing engineers on ways to improve procedural steps and process implementation. 
  • Experienced in using test electronic test equipment.
  • Experienced with, and able to use hand tools and small power tools.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
  • Ability to work a set and consistent schedule. 
  • Possesses and maintains a good attendance record and able to work overtime when required (nights and weekends).
  • Strong organizational tendencies and practices. 
Education / Experience Required: 
  • Two to five year minimum experience in an Electronics Technician role or related position.
  • Preference will be given to candidates that possess qualifications in:
    • IPC J-STD-001 Class 3
    • IPC-7711
    • IPC-7721
  • Exhibits basic computer skills.
  • Open to new manufacturing concepts and processes. 
  • Adaptable to new environments.
  • Strong verbal and technical writing skills.Note: All candidates must be willing to be subjected to a proficiency evaluation as part of the interview process. 
  • Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
